PLAYOFFS HERE
best time of the year
Drakkar 5 – Titan 2
The Drakkar are now one win away from the finals.
After splitting the first two games and surviving an overtime thriller in Game 3, Baie-Comeau delivered its most complete performance of the series in Game 4.
Jacob Mathieu tried to carry the Titan again with both Bathurst goals, bringing his playoff total to 10, but the Drakkar depth overwhelmed them throughout the night.
Thomas Desruisseaux continued his monster postseason with another goal and assist, while Riley Mercer was outstanding in net, stopping 39 of 41 shots.
Huskies 6 – Phoenix 3
Rouyn-Noranda refuses to go quietly.
After dropping the first three games of the series, the Huskies exploded offensively in Game 4 to avoid elimination and shift at least a little pressure back toward Sherbrooke.
The Phoenix jumped out early with goals from Mateiko and St-Denis, but Rouyn responded hard and never looked back. Justin Carbonneau scored twice in six seconds late in the second period to completely swing the game.
Felix Lacerte added two goals, while Antonin Verreault continued his dominant playoff run with another multi-point night.
The semifinals may have just swung dramatically.
Baie-Comeau seized full control of the Titan series, while Rouyn-Noranda finally punched back after dropping the first three games to Sherbrooke.
